
John Fabian is a native
Pueblo resident. He has a wide background of
experience that includes time as a student
research assistant on the Pawnee National
grasslands, surveying, national park ranger,
and education. He has a bachelor’s degree
in Biological Sciences and a Master’s Degree
in Computers in Education. He has had thirty
years of middle and high school teaching
experience throughout the state of Colorado.
John and his family returned to Pueblo over
20 years ago so he could be near his father,
who was struggling with health challenges.
John’s love for the outdoors is
integrated into everything he does. He was
involved in the Boy Scouts of America
throughout his childhood, is an avid hunter
and fisherman, and enjoys camping and
touring the beautiful state of Colorado. In
addition to teaching, he is a well-respected
farmer on the St. Charles Mesa and is a
regularly scheduled Dutch Oven cooking
demonstrator for Sportsman’s Warehouse in
Colorado Springs. John is married and has
two children, Christy and John, III. His
wife, Kathy, is an elementary reading
specialist in Pueblo City Schools. Christy,
a dental hygienist, and her husban, Peter,
are living in Cleveland, Ohio where Peter is
completing his final year of dental school.
His son, John, is a senior at CSU-Fort
Collins, double-majoring in Agricultural
Business and Soil and Crop Science.
